Graphic novel series in the works

Follow me on my social media (links above) to see posts on the progress of my story. I’m coming at this project from a different process than a traditional comic artist, because that’s not my background and when I’ve tried to take a traditional route it just doesn’t work for me. It may seem like I’m making it harder than it needs to be, but for me “it’s the journey not the destination where the adventure lies”.

Sketch Cards

Thumbnail layouts on a sheet of paper hadn’t worked for me, I’ve found working individual panels on sketch cards has really improved my flow and thought process.

The first series of the story takes place in two different eras, the 1920’s and the 1950’s.

I’m bringing design elements of each era into the images I create. It’s a thorough mix of fact and fiction, enough to make you question reality and see that fact can be stranger than fiction.

A series of weights and counterweights that occur in life.

“Art is the way to the absolute and to the essence of human life. The aim of art is not the one-sided promotion of spirit, soul and senses, but the opening of all human capacities – thought, feeling, will – to the life rhythm of the world of nature.”
